East Doncaster Secondary College

From a tricky site shape, Grassports Australia’s design expertise resulted in a larger, high performance multi-sports facility for active students. 
 
Working with our customers to provide customised, perfect solutions is something we take pride in at Grassports Australia. Close customer consultation resulted in recommending changing the direction of the field to better utilize the existing area. Now a much larger facility with excellent viewing area from the nearby embankments, the facility was redesigned without the additional expense of constructing retaining walls. 
 
Grassports proven track record at other Colleges in the area and our range of Australian made synthetic grass products was one of the factors that lead East Doncaster Secondary College to trust Grassports Australia’s 45 years industry experience. 
 
Comprising a full-sized soccer field, the multi-purpose facility caters for athletics (including a 100m sprint track and two lane long jump pit), futsal, cricket and other active play. Grassports Australia’s exclusive, award-winning cricket wicket training innovation has also been installed to assist coaching. 
 
Built with approximately 6400m2 of synthetic surfacing, 150 tonne of sand and 30 tonne of crumbed rubber, the facility will be hired to local sporting clubs creating revenue for the school to pay for maintenance and future upgrades. Grassports Australia have included a personalized maintenance plan to ensure this safe and premium quality facility is always in optimal condition. 
 
With thousands of East Doncaster Secondary College students and athletes from local sporting clubs utilising the facility each year this is a facility not only for the school but for the surrounding community.
