McKinnon Primary School had a rock-hard oval in summer and an unusable muddy surface in winter.
After viewing our recent project at OLA in Cheltenham Victoria (read the full story here) and understanding our proven experience providing quality facilities in the education sector, McKinnon Primary School chose Grassports Australia to design and build their new multisport oval.
A design that fully utilises every square inch of the available space, the facility is suitable for soccer, AFL athletics and active play and includes a long jump pit, hop scotch and foursquare. All on an Australian made synthetic grass surface.
With the support of local government, the school had sourced funding. With over 45 years’ industry experience we assisted in streamlining the liaison with relevant stakeholders, including architecture and design practice Content Studios and the Victorian School Building Authority.
Hundreds of students and staff and members of the broader community will benefit from this new multipurpose facility.
