A previous Grassports customer, Mentone Primary School, had an old asphalt court that was desperate for an update. We began the works by setting up a temp fence for the duration of works to ensure site safety for all staff and students.
We prepared the base by removing the existing tree roots on the court where required and backfilling the tree roots with compacted cement treated crushed rock. After cleaning the asphalt, it was ready to be surfaced in SUPERGRASSE 19mm synthetic grass in two tone blue. Line markings for netball, basketball, and bat tennis were included.
Finishing the project with a high-quality silica sand evenly distributed across the court and constructed retaining walls with capping seats to the entire surrounds.
Grassports was awarded the project at Mentone Primary School from our past performance and our use of 100% Australian made products. The staff and students are extremely impressed with the transformation of the court and are going to enjoy the play space for many years to come!
