Our Lady of the Assumption QLD

An unused damaged concrete quadrangle transformed into a custom-designed, vibrant, colourful learning and play space.

Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Primary School had a damaged and unattractive asphalt area. They looked to the expertise of Grassports Australia to revitalize and improve the space for their students.

Based on previous examples of quality Grassports work in primary schools across the country, Grassports Australia worked with the school to create a unique design. The design incorporates elements key to the school curriculum. 

Our Lady of Assumption College did not want yet another sports area and although the area may accommodate sports and active play, there is a strong emphasis on the key learning areas and the school’s priority to encompass all student school life experiences. In fact, the school surveyed teachers and students for input, making this a truly customized design.

Installation included around 840m2 of new synthetic grass including sign grass  images to fit the play and curriculum needs of the school and resulting in a vibrant and attractive result.

When the newly built facility opened to students they rushed onto the learning and  play space with beaming smiles and newfound joy and pride in their school, a most rewarding outcome…
